If this were done on a large scale a lot of food would be produced locally which would mean that refrigerated trucks, planes, ships and supermarkets transport and store less food around the world. Which would cut down the worldwide carbon footprint and oil consumption. If not already; go Vegan! Or encourage others to do so. For animal products people and other animals suffer, the rainforest gets cut down, water and food gets wasted, it's bad for the environment and your health etc... Even vegetarianism already helps a lot! Would be curious how much people you could change :) June 11 2012
