Is August finished now?
Last month a very good and successful workshop day happened (#metzonderwerk). In total 35 people came, 5 people gave workshops and lot's of enthousiastic reactions. Even so much that there are requests to organise another day and keep the flow going! That would be great of course!
The group itself is currently mostly alive on facebook. So if you're with/without work, you can join, help, inspire etc... If you want to help organise another day, let me know! You can help with providing a location, giving workshops, sponsering, being nice, giving advice :-)
What about this month? It's gonna be trashy!! :-)

Today was a great day...
because today it was the workshopday! But now I'm going to sleep... :-)
Dear Maarten, I am so happy that many people shared this idea I posted and that you turned it into this meeting! I read that many offered their help and participated yesterday, which is really great. Thank you. I hope the day helped you all to feel more inspired and connected, and that it provided some energy to continue to discover which working environment suits your unique talents.
@margriet, it was quite a special day. I got a lot of positive feedback from people who joined and got inspired by the workshops. In total about 35 people participated and 5 people gave workshops. Next to that we were able to use the space of The Hub Rotterdam for free.
And now there is a facebook group (in dutch) where people share their experience, progress, questions, etc... https://www.facebook.com/groups/metzonderwerk/
I will post more about the day later. Thanks again for the idea, it's a very nice one! -

A different approach
This is xkcd's approach to finding a job. It's different!! If you also want to find new ways to find work you can come to the workshop day on the 16th of August in Rotterdam. Even though it's almost full, so you have to be quick :-)

Things are starting to take shape
Last week the idea of a workshop day started and by now we have 31 people who will attend and 5 people who will give workshops. Things are really starting to take shape indeed!
And now for something completely different: a project from someone who will live one year using only Open Source. What??

With/without work
I posted the winning idea of this month on twitter and Katja immidiately responded offering her help and suggestions! This was great because in no time we decided to organize a workshop day to inspire people who are looking for work or a direction.
She will give a workshop herself, there will be a #daretoask session from Jan Peter Bogers and probably there will even be more.
