Hema is not helpful, costumer support doesn't want to tell me where they produce their socks. Unfriendly to say the least...

Well, there must be a reason (A dark one :-P) why they don't want to tell where they produce their socks. But we could find out some of the hema's socks manufacturer and ask them if your socks are their socks...

Thanks Philipp and Julian. I'm writing now an email to one of the spokespersons of Hema, I hope she will understand the project and be able to help in some way.

The reason they gave was because the competition could use that information in their advantage. I think that's the standard answer they are told to give, and the person I talked to seemed a little bit stressed to help me any further. I understand that the question 'where is it produced and can I visit it' can be a little difficult to answer in it's simplicity. Hopefully the email will help a little also to explain that I have good intentions and am not looking for a negative story. I just simply want to know where, that's all!

Btw, Julian, thanks for the links! Where did you find them?? They could come in handy...

Hopefully after your email they'll be more open to it in the future...? If not, maybe they'll still work on something after your unexpected call. It would be smart of them to take this as a call for them to be more transparent - the "competition" answer seems a bit dodgy...

Sadly enough they didn't open up even a tiny little bit yet. I'm still in contact with them... It's very curious to me that they are so closed. It makes me suspicious even thought there might not even be a reason for it. But this lack of transparency is weird to say the least.
