This project is closing... but... it will continue as abetterplace.io!
Start a choir for people who can't sing but love to sing songs anyway. It's social, it's fun, and it will make people happier. An idea from Yvonne

Exciting! two of my house-mates had similar ideas and wrote this song: http://youtu.be/3tmLy-kw8kE
They're co-writing a follow-up for Antwerp, where unfortunately someone from a conservative party gained the majority of votes yesterday, promising to change all kinds of urgent matters.
I would so totally join this choir! It's always been a dream for me to sing (actually, to be part of a musical...) but besides dancing I have NO talent whatsoever that could be used in a production like that :) Great idea!
I would like to join this choir as well! Well, Maarten, even if this idea is not going to win, why don't do this anyway? Since eating plants won't stop you from singing, in fact singing will even go better without meatballs digesting in your guts. And since you already are a vegetarian (are you? someone wrote that) perhaps you want to take an extra challenge. :-)
And I want to join!! (bur fear that anyone else will run off to some island in the pacific)
That would be a great idea for the month of december, as the choir could then practise christmas carols and perform at busy shopping malls and city centers, as a real christmas choir.
Wouldn't that be the perfect anti-consumerism action? That is, it would definitely chase away all christmas shoppers... ;)
Yes! And then we'll make our own carols with anti-consumerism lyrics
(here the sleighbells, tingeling, stop consuming, start producing!), I already look forward to it!
Ik ben helemaal voor!
Count me in, tonedeaf, but looooove to sing ;-)
And if you guys all live very far away, we'll start an internet choir :-)
Well if Whitacre can do it... anyone can! Seriously, his virtual choir is cool, check it out! You might want to give some instructions for omitting consonants like "t" and "s", so that those can be added later for perfect timing.

please vote on this one!
Singing truly makes people happier!!
(someone recently joked: "black-African people seem to be constantly smiling, because they love to sing so much")
I'll have some people in Ghent to join if it would come to an internet thing.
Thx Bart for sharing the vid with Whitacre. Beautiful.
Never heard of Whitacre before, it was great watching it, so thank you Bart!
Wow, great video Bart, hadn't seen it before either! I always love to see how you can get people to do and create something together while they don't actually know each other but have a similar passion or goal.
