Why? What? How?
I always had the feeling i'm not doing enough with my life. Eventhough i'm an idealist, I never know where to start in making the world a better place because it seems there is so much to do. So if you have an idea, tell me about it. I will execute the most popular idea of each month for one year! I'm a puppet to your ideals!

Hey Livia, I would actually like to try this for a day first. But how do you communicate to others that you're not talking? Should I then make a little board 'I do not talk'?
Well, a day is probably the best way to start with it...;) you could make a little board or you can inform your friends and colleagues about it before you do it..2 years ago I did the Vipassana meditation retreat and spent 10 days in silence. That was really an amazing experience! Of course it's easier to spent some quiet time in the nature or retreat but i challeng you to do it in the city...:) by being silent you also practice Nada Yoga-deep inner listening. Nadis in yoga are the subtle channels trough which consciousness flows. Once you refine your external listening, you can turn your ability to listen inward and become more receptive...It will quieten your mind and prepare it for introspection and meditation..The real change, dear Maarten, starts from within!!'Be the change that you wanna see in the world' just like Gandhi! :)
Thanks Livia, doing my best. :-) I've never done a silent period longer than a couple of hours. Would be quite an experience I believe!
