can you motivate how this idea makes the world a better place?

Most sayings hold some kind of wisdom. 'De pen is machtiger dan het zwaard', 'De laatste loodjes wegen het zwaarst', 'grass is always greener on the other side'. They are not directly making the world a better place, but some can motivate decisions, change directions (to a better place).
But you're right Bart, this idea is not as direct as others... direct is better.

I'm not saying some ideas are better than this one, just curious about your motivations!
