Did you know, that 90% of the Cows Are dehorned as calfs?! Make a Petition an collect signatures to stop this unnecessary practice! (Or other things like taking calfs away from their mothers right after birth!) An idea from Franziska F.

Calves are not allowed to drink from their mothers, if these are milk-cows because of a EU-rule. Dehorning is customary to prevent cows injuring each other, only cows that are kept by organic farmers are not dehorned, but maybe they should, angry cows can kill!

I visited a farm today, cows had horns and calfs lived with them. Nothing happened. No cow was injured. It is just a problem, when too many animals are kept in a too small area. I think, it is really tragic, that our society has to consume so much meat and milk, that the animals cannot be treated well! So yeah, go back to organic and stop this! www.kuehe-haben-hoerner.ch!

And something more: Cows need their horns to communicate and for body care. They have nerves and it hurts to burn them as calfs! (In the Netherlands, they make a local anesthesia, but not in Switzerland or other countries).
