huh? In this situation; why would cocacola give maarten money that he could later donate (or keep) next to a project they already would sponsor about education and health in africa? I'm a bit lost on this one.

It´s easy. Advertising. All over the world people is talking about maartens project. Brands would love to be near this idea so all of us think they care. They will probably offer money to show their logo on this site! :D

oh I see. I should have read it with a comma between "...with you, to african..."
So, get corporate sponsors for the site and then send the money to charity.
(charity sounds better then 'african children'.)
